M-DM Firmware Update

Model: BT-LNU2SA

Updates and Changes made in this release:

  • Feature: USB printer support
  • Change: Minor GUI modifications

 

Before upgrading the firmware, connect your M-DM, login, navigate to 'Home' or 'Firmware Upgrade' and check the present firmware. If your current version is the same as the latest release seen above, your unit does not need to be updated. If yours has an older version, follow the steps described below.

WARNING: NEVER TURN OFF YOUR UNIT DURING THE FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE. THIS MAY DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE. IF FOR ANY REASONS (E.G. POWER SUPPLY FAILURE DURING FIRMWARE UPDATE) THE PROCEDURE FAILS, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE YOUR DEVICE ANYMORE. IN THIS CASE PLEASE CONTACT YOUR VENDOR!

THIS FIRMWARE IS ONLY FOR THE ENGLISH VERSION OF MACPOWER'S DOWNLOAD MANAGER 'M-DM'. DO NOT USE THIS IF YOUR DEVICE IS DIFFERENT!

 

1. Download the latest firmware for your M-DM, unzip it and store the BIN file on your local drive.

2. Connect the unit to your local network and turn it on. Open your browser, type the IP address of your M-DM and login.

3. Go to 'Firmware Upgrade' under 'Tools' and browse for the new firmware on your local drive.

4. Once located, click 'Start Upgrade' to start the upgrade procedure. NOTE: There is no progress bar during the firmware update but it is working, so DO NOT turn off the power or click on any of the other buttons until it's done.

5. Once the firmware upgrade is done, a message will tell you that the upgrade succeeded and automatically reboot after 5 seconds.

6. Wait for the device to reboot and then login again to confirm the new firmware version has been uploaded.

7. Please double check your settings after the firmware upgrade and adjust if necessary.
