All the benefits of the classic Pleiades enclosure, now with ultra fast Giga-bit LAN technology. Passive cooling in an all aluminium chassis keeps your internal components and hard drive running efficiently. Transfer your data via commonly used, high-speed USB 2.0 interface. Or better yet, via Giga-bit LAN, upload your data via network for quick and convenient data back-up. An additional upstream USB port allows you to connect more devices such as USB hard drives and USB printers to be accessed and shared via network too! Versatile, compact, and reliable storage for your home or office.
Network Attached Storage (10/100/1000)
Multiple users can access the Pleiades Giga LAN to share and exchange files via Gigabit Ethernet connection. Set up shared folders and let users access the files via local network connection using SMB or FTP. For administrators, the web interface offers useful tools such as user and share management, plus system and network logs to let you manage the Pleiades with ease.

USB Hard Drive
The Pleiades Giga LAN comes with a high speed USB 2.0 port for quick and convenient access to your data. The common USB connection comes in handy when there is no network connection available or the device is used as a simple USB storage device.

Media Download Management
Used in conjunction with its built-in BitTorrent™ client, the Pleiades Giga LAN can be set to download media files from the Internet and have it saved directly to the internal SATA hard drive. You can then turn off your computer and go about other things (like sleeping!) and when you come back, you will have all kinds of new media files to enjoy.

USB Host & Printer Server
The Pleiades Giga LAN comes with one additional USB host port for an external USB hard drive or a USB printer. Connected to the Pleiades, files on the external USB drive can quickly be backed up to the network drive and shared among other workstations. A USB printer that is connected to the network drive can be shared among other users on the local network and files can be printed without ever physically moving the printer from computer to computer.
